Systems Engineer
You will design, build, and support high-performance servers across datacenters and offices. You will analyze and resolve Linux server issues, create and maintain operating system packages and scripts, optimize infrastructure to reduce latency, manage configuration changes, collaborate with technology groups and vendors, and support long-term infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve Linux-based server issues
- Create, test, deploy, and maintain operating system packages, batch files, and scripts
- Identify optimization opportunities to reduce latency and increase efficiency
- Manage move, add, and change requests and configurations
- Engage with internal technology groups and vendors to deliver solutions
- Assist with long-term infrastructure strategies and capacity planning
Requirements
- 3-5 years of Linux or Unix administration experience
- Kernel tuning experience
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and network topology including NFS, DHCP, IP, TCP, UDP, TFTP, and NTP
- Knowledge of Kickstart, Ansible, and Git
- Strong Python scripting ability
- BIOS configuration experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate work with teams and vendors
- MySQL or Postgres experience is a plus
- HT Condor, HTC clusters, Team City, Keycloak, and Atlassian suite experience are a plus
