Tailor

Key Responsibilities:

• Take accurate body measurements for custom garments.
• Cut, sew, alter, and repair clothing and other fabric items.
• Read and interpret garment patterns and design specifications.
• Fit garments and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring equipment.
• Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and materials for each project.
• Inspect finished garments to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing zippers, buttons, and hems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate with customers or supervisors regarding tailoring requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Tailor or Seamstress.
• Proficiency in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and tailoring techniques.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and perform fittings.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
