Tailor

Position objective

This job provides a personal service to each client specializing in modifications and adjustments.
The tailor will complete repair works and alterations to suit a customer’s needs. The customer will then come back to the shop for a fitting and to see if further alterations are needed.

Key responsibilities

• Be able to communicate clearly and provide a personal customer service
• Have the ability to work to deadlines
• Complete alterations to garments using a thread or sewing machine
• Adapt and develop existing designs
• Draw patterns or alter existing patterns
• Press garments
• Perform other related duties as required
