About the Role

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own recruitment for our firm. You’ll be our one-person Talent Acquisition team, working within a lean, three-person HR team, with real ownership over how we find and hire great people.

Your top priority will be attorney recruitment across Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, and Spokane: filling our immediate openings first, then building a strong, reliable pipeline of experienced attorneys. You’ll also keep our legal support staff hiring running smoothly and partner closely with hiring managers to get ahead of needs before they become vacancies.

This isn’t a “fill the req” job. We want someone to own the process, build foundations that can grow, and set the stage for a powerful recruitment strategy.

What You’ll Do

Lead Attorney Recruitment

  • Fill immediate attorney openings in four markets, then build a lasting pipeline of experienced attorneys
  • Source and engage passive candidates through outreach, referrals, bar associations, and law school networks
  • Create a polished, memorable experience for attorney, director, and executive candidates

Develop Employer Brand Presence and Talent Network

  • Travel throughout the Seattle, Spokane, Portland, and Los Angeles area to network, attend events, and visit universities to develop connections with potential candidates.
  • Seek out and attend tabling and networking events in all of our markets.
  • Own career web presence and partner with marketing team on employer branding.

Partner Proactively with Hiring Managers

  • Build strong relationships with every hiring manager and plan ahead for upcoming needs
  • Lead and develop recruitment and talent strategy with all levels of hiring managers
  • Design, train on, and champion structured, data-backed interviews
  • Keep hiring teams on track with timely feedback and thorough documentation in Greenhouse

Build Our Recruiting Engine

  • Own Greenhouse and turn recruiting data into better decisions
  • Create repeatable processes and playbooks that can scale with the firm
  • Shape our employer brand with Marketing and represent The Advocates at recruiting events

Own Staff Recruitment

  • Run full-cycle hiring for entry- to mid-level legal support roles, from posting and phone screens to offers
  • Reduce time to hire without compromising the quality of our hires

The Perfect Fit

You’re a poised, proactive recruiter who wants to leave your thumbprint on a growing firm. You think strategically both in direct recruitment and in developing our recruitment structure. You know how to win over senior talent, you’re comfortable being the go-to expert for hiring managers, and you care that every candidate has a good experience with us, whether or not we move forward together.
