We are now looking for a new Tax and Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team in Warsaw, Poland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requires handson experience with the Polish tax system, including Polish tax regulations and cooperation with the Polish tax authorities.

  • Determine VAT liability for domestic and international transactions.
  • Process and analyze international transactions, including imports, intra-Community acquisitions (ICA/WNT), and intra-Community supplies (ICS/WDT).
  • Reconcile VAT registers and ensure their accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT SAF-T files (JPK VAT), VAT-UE returns, and Intrastat reports.
  • Prepare and post tax-related accounting entries and reconcile tax balances on balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor tax payment documentation to ensure timely settlement of tax liabilities.
  • Verify documents in accordance with Polish VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) regulations.
  • Support the calculation of Corporate Income Tax (CIT).
  • Calculate withholding tax (WHT), prepare CIT-10Z returns, and prepare IFT-2R forms.
  • Prepare data and reports required for statutory reporting to government authorities, including Statistics Poland (GUS), the National Bank of Poland (NBP), and the Tax Office.
  • Cooperate with public institutions and authorities, including the Tax Office, Statistics Poland (GUS), the National Bank of Poland (NBP), banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation for tax audits, transfer pricing (TP) documentation, and annual audits.
  • Provide tax support and advisory services to finance and operational teams.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their potential impact on the company’s operations.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar tax and accounting role.
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP system will be considered an advantage.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken (minimum B2/C1 level).
  • Very good knowledge of tax regulations, particularly VAT, CIT, WHT, and the Accounting Act.
  • University degree (minimum Bachelor’s degree) in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) environment will be an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tax reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer-oriented mindset, and proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to continuously develop professional knowledge and seek innovative solutions.

The anticipated salary range for this role in Warsaw, Poland is between PLN 142,071 to PLN 177,589 gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
