Responsibilities



  • Network Design & Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and wireless network solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and industry best practices.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for complex network issues, including routing, switching, wireless connectivity, and firewall configurations.
  • Firewall Management: Oversee and manage firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, etc.), ensuring secure network traffic and protecting the network from unauthorized access.
  • Optimization & Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor and optimize LAN, WAN, and wireless performance, including latency, bandwidth utilization, and high availability.
  • Security Solutions: Implement and maintain network security policies, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of resources.
  • Wireless Network Management: Manage and optimize wireless networks, including site surveys, AP placement, and wireless security protocols (WPA2/WPA3).
  • Network Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute network upgrades, firmware patches, and hardware replacements.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Lead resolution of complex network incidents ensuring timely escalation and closure.
  • Network Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor network health using tools and provide detailed performance and incident reports.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work with security, cloud, and data center teams for enterprise-wide integration.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to operational improvements.
  • Extensive expertise in LAN, WAN, and Wireless networking (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs).
  • Proficiency in firewall technologies (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet).
  • In-depth knowledge of wireless design, RF fundamentals, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles including VPNs, NAT, and IPS.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
  • Experience in high availability (HA) and network optimization for critical systems.
  • Advanced troubleshooting in routing, switching, wireless, and firewall domains.
  • Scripting/automation skills (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Experience with redundancy, load balancing, and failover designs.
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid networking (AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
