Job Summary

As a Whataburger Team Member, you will deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced airport environment. This position includes FOH and BOH responsibilities, and all team members are cross-trained to support the full operation.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass an FBI fingerprint background check for airport badge clearance
  • Must have two valid government-issued IDs in excellent condition
  • Must be available for flexible shifts, including:
  • Early morning shifts as early as 4:00 AM
  • Closing shifts based on last flight
  • Friday–Sunday availability required
  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30–50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to reach, bend, and move throughout the assigned work area and airport

Job Summary:
The Team Member is responsible for learning and performing all parts of the business, including kitchen duties such as using ovens, grills & fry stations, food prep, cashier duties, cleaning, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet each guest with a friendly, respectful, and welcoming demeanor. Provide assistance with their orders and ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Operations: Learn and perform duties at the grill and fry stations. Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food prep tasks, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Cash Handling: Follow all company cash policies, cash audits, and cash accountability. Accurately ring up all items for every guest.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining, and cashier areas. Clean up spills immediately and ensure a tidy environment.
  • Inventory Management: Follow procedures for ordering, receiving, and storing supplies. Report any discrepancies to the manager on duty.
  • Safety and Security: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the manager on duty immediately.
  • Professional Conduct: Treat all co-workers with respect. Lead by example every day and follow all other critical policies, including INTEGRITY, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, and EFFICIENCY.

Personal Appearance:
The Team Member position requires a professional and crisp image. This includes no visible obscene tattoos or piercings, natural hair colors, and professional hairstyles that are not distracting to the guest experience. Makeup must be modest and professional. Males are encouraged to be clean-shaven each day. Full beards and other facial hair are allowed but must be kept trimmed to no longer than ¼ inch in length. Acrylic fingernails are not allowed. Nail polish and jewelry must be modest (watch and ring). Uniforms must be clean and pressed prior to each shift. Males and females with shoulder-length hair must keep it tightly and smoothly restrained in a bun or ponytail.
