Technical Architect - D365 CE / Power Platform
About the role
This is a senior technical role within a growing Business Applications practice at a NZ-owned technology consultancy. You'll provide technical leadership and mentor others while staying close to the technology—this isn't a people-management role. You'll work across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, translating requirements into robust technical approaches and providing senior technical consulting directly to clients.
Key responsibilities
Lead the technical design and delivery of complex D365 and Power Platform solutions
Translate requirements and solution designs into robust technical approaches
Provide technical direction across projects and work through complex problems
Work closely with Tech Practice Lead, Chief Architect, Functional Consultants and Project Managers
Provide senior technical consulting directly to clients
Estimate technical work and maintain oversight of technical deliverables
Mentor Developers and Technical Consultants and help grow capability across the team
Influence technical approach, standards and how the Business Applications practice evolves
About you
Working as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Lead Developer or Senior Technical Consultant with substantial hands-on experience across the Microsoft business applications ecosystem
Experience in consulting environments where client expectations are high and problems aren't always neatly defined
Strong technical depth across Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform
Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise-grade business applications
Background in professional consulting and client-facing technical work
Ability to move comfortably between architecture, technical design and delivery
Experience providing technical leadership across application projects
Strong estimation skills and understanding of what it takes to deliver successfully
Experience mentoring Developers and Technical Consultants
Ability to explain complex technical thinking to both technical and non-technical people
