We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant - Cloud to join our team in Tauranga.
About the Role
This is a full-time permanent position working largely across our Enterprise customers.
This position provides technical leadership, architecture, consulting and solution design expertise across modern cloud, security, identity, workplace and application platforms. The role helps customers identify opportunities, define technology roadmaps, modernise services and select solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will be viewed as a trusted advisor and technical leader, providing strategic guidance, architecture, solution design, business case development and implementation oversight for complex customer engagements.
What you'll do for us
Provide strategic technical advice and cloud consultancy services.
Analyse customer business requirements and translate them into technology roadmaps and solution designs.
Design and architect cloud, modern workplace, identity and security solutions.
Facilitate customer workshops, assessments and discovery engagements.
Develop solution architectures, proposals, statements of work and supporting documentation.
Contribute to quotations, customer presentations and RFP responses.
Lead the implementation of complex cloud and digital transformation projects.
Provide technical leadership and quality assurance throughout project delivery.
Mentor engineers and project teams through architecture and implementation activities.
Contribute to fault analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of complex escalated issues.
Establish and maintain architectural principles, standards and governance frameworks.
Maintain accurate customer, project and commercial documentation.
Ensure effective utilisation and accurate recording of project activities and customer engagements
What you'll bring in your Kit bag
Two major certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, Cybersecurity Architect, Security Engineer or equivalent qualifications.
One or more Microsoft cloud certifications.
At least 10 years ICT industry experience.
Proven experience in solution architecture, consulting and technology leadership.
Demonstrated success delivering large-scale cloud and transformation projects.
Strong customer engagement, workshop facilitation and consulting capability.
Experience developing architecture documentation, business cases, proposals and statements of work.
Confidence presenting solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

Strong business and technical writing skills.
Expert use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and architecture design tools.
The ability to engage customers, facilitate workshops and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Proven ability to identify opportunities and help customers understand the value of modern cloud technologies.
However, soft skills, customer engagement and a willingness to learn are equally important
