Job Description:

• Provide professional technical advice on Singapore LTA rules, regulations and vehicle requirements.
• Review and advise on truck body designs and vehicle modification proposals.
• Prepare and review a where applicable technical drawings and engineering calculations before submission to LTA.
• Provide technical advice on truck chassis, body construction and vehicle equipment installation.
• Liaise with LTA officers, customers, vehicle distributors, suppliers and other relevant parties on technical matters.
• Review and resolve technical issues arising during vehicle inspection and registration.
• Advise on technical solutions where proposed vehicle modifications do not meet the applicable requirements.
• Keep updated on changes to LTA rules, regulations and technical requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the company's project and administrative team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with Honours.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Singapore LTA rules and regulations.
• Good knowledge of commercial vehicles, trucks and vehicle modifications. Strong technical drawing and engineering calculation skills.
• Proficient in CAD software. Preferably Autocad software.
• Good understanding of vehicle weight distribution, axle loading and centre of gravity calculations.
• Experience with LTA vehicle approval, technical submissions and vehicle inspection will be highly advantageous.
• Able to independently review technical requirements and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, workshop personnel and LTA.
