Technical Delivery Manager - Data & Analytics

Salary: Up to $150 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of a complex enterprise data, analytics and AI program within a large, highly governed organisation.

This is not a traditional Project Manager role. We are looking for someone who combines strong delivery leadership with enough technical depth to confidently work with, challenge and coordinate Solution Architects, Data & AI Architects, Data Engineers, Analysts, vendors and operational support teams.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day technical delivery across data platform, integration, reporting, analytics and AI workstreams, translating architecture and program objectives into executable plans and ensuring solutions are successfully delivered into production and ongoing support.


The Role:

You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary technical teams and driving delivery across complex, interdependent workstreams. This will include developing and managing delivery plans, technical work packages, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements and critical path activities.
You will work closely with architecture and engineering teams to ensure technical solutions align with approved designs and standards, while maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes, quality and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading technical delivery across enterprise data, analytics, reporting and AI initiatives.
• Coordinating architects, data engineers, analysts, developers, vendors and BAU support teams.
• Translating architecture designs into executable delivery plans and technical work packages.
• Managing schedules, RAID, dependencies, resources and critical path activities.
• Providing technical leadership across data integration, reporting, analytics, AI and cloud platform implementation.
• Managing vendors and implementation partners against agreed outcomes and standards.
• Coordinating testing, quality assurance, deployment and production readiness.
• Supporting service transition and ensuring BAU teams are ready to operate delivered solutions.
• Providing clear reporting and advice to senior project leadership and governance forums.
• Driving continuous improvement across delivery practices, automation, quality and governance.

What we’re looking for You will have demonstrated experience delivering complex enterprise data and analytics platforms, ideally within large transformation programs.

Strong experience across several of the following will be important:

• Microsoft Azure and Azure Data Services
• Enterprise data platforms
• Data warehouses
• Data lakes and lakehouse architectures
• Data integration and APIs
• Power BI and enterprise reporting
• Data migration
• Data governance
• Azure DevOps
• AI and advanced analytics
• Cloud-based platform delivery

You will also bring strong delivery leadership capability across Agile, hybrid and traditional environments, with proven experience managing technical risks, issues, dependencies, schedules, vendors, testing, release and operational transition.

Experience within government, regulatory, intelligence, justice, law enforcement, financial services, utilities or other highly governed environments would be highly regarded.

Relevant qualifications or certifications across Project Management, Agile, Azure, Data Platforms or IT Service Management will also be well regarded.
