Technical Delivery Manager

Salary: No Admin/Contract Fees

• Brisbane CBD - Hybrid
• Contract Role until 26/02/2027 with planned extension until 29/02/2028

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to coordinate the delivery of an ICT project focused on data, analytics, reporting and AI capabilities.

You will coordinate technical workstreams, manage dependencies and risks, and work closely with architects, analysts, engineers, vendors and operational support teams to support successful implementation and transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery across the project.
• Coordinate technical teams, vendors and delivery partners.
• Manage schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues.
• Translate architecture designs into technical delivery plans and work packages.
• Oversee delivery across data integration, analytics, reporting, AI and cloud-based services.
• Coordinate testing, deployment, service transition and operational readiness.
• Provide technical reporting and advice to project leadership.
• Support architecture governance and continuous improvement.

Essential

• Significant experience delivering complex data, analytics, business intelligence, data platform or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating vendors.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Services, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with data integration, migration, reporting, analytics and cloud technologies.
• Experience managing technical risks, issues, dependencies and delivery schedules.
• Strong understanding of Agile, hybrid and traditional delivery approaches.
• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience in government or other highly governed environments.
• Background in Data Analytics or data analytics project management.
• Relevant Project Management, Agile, Azure, Data Platform or IT Service Management certifications.
• PMI, Agile or PRINCE2 certification.
