About the role
Our client, a leading regional bank, is hiring a Technical Delivery Manager for a technology team delivering process automation and compliance systems. You'll run technical delivery from pre-project planning through go-live and post-implementation support.
What you'll do
Own the technical delivery plan, including milestones, cost estimates, resource plans, enhancements and upgrades, within budget and schedule
Manage technical dependencies, risks and issues across multiple application teams, and report delivery status
Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and System Analysts to finalise functional and technical requirements
Work with Domain Architects and Development Leads to keep solution designs aligned with enterprise design, security and control standards
Coordinate with Development Managers on build, and with Test Managers on SIT, UAT, performance and security testing
Lead implementation planning to ensure a smooth production cutover and solid post-go-live support
Maintain delivery documentation, such as functional and design specs and SIT scripts, to organisational standards
Escalate schedule risks early and propose workarounds
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial institution
5+ years leading IT delivery teams
At least 6 years of combined hands-on experience in systems development, specifications and testing
Strong grasp of the SDLC and new system implementation environments
Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving, analytical and solutioning skills
Excellent documentation and presentation skills, plus advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Good to have: exposure to KYC/AML, regulatory compliance, risk management or workflow automation systems
