Technical Manager, DACH

SUMMARY: The Technical Manager will be responsible for in depth knowledge of the product portfolio and clearly articulating the technical differentiators of a product and positioning against competitor products. You will compile technical details related to market and customer requirements, working with the Product Management team to continually improve the products and position products in new markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the creation of design guides, troubleshooting guides, evaluation guides, application notes, technical white papers, presentations, videos and demonstrations for our IoT solutions and products.
Create, update and present marketing collateral that includes technical presentations, datasheets, case studies, etc.
Create demonstrations that highlight the key values of the product so as to aid in better market penetration of new technologies and features.
To work with customers and partners for feature comparisons, bench marking, and demonstration set up development
Provide engineering guidance on enhancing the features and fixing any bugs
To be involved in supporting the outbound activities like customer and field engagements such as technical workshops and doing product demonstrations
Build and maintain a demonstration environment for our IoT solutions and products.
Support sales and marketing efforts as required. Travel required to support field and marketing activity.
Support product launch activities and assist with Tradeshows, Conferences and Technical Sales Training / workshops or Channel Partner Training activities.
Respond to customer or field inquiries, assist with Technical RFPs and work with a cross-functional team of BDMs, PMs, Engineers as required.
Work with the Product Management Team for market and competitive analysis.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintain the quality system standards.
Follow and enforce all Multi-Tech rules and policies

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Strategic technical thinking and a good business understanding
Should be sensitive to deadlines and should be flexible to adjust according to the changing priorities
Extensive customer and field experience with IoT products is a must
Excellent English and German written and oral communication skills required, other language skills are desirable
Customer focused Sales Engineering experience is a must
Software development experience and/or capabilities highly desired
Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency. Must be resourceful and proactive
Highly organized, detail-oriented and possessing a high level of integrity.
Team player that works well in collaborative situations.
Good leadership skills and the ability to work with all teams in the company.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

University Degree and/or Previous Applications Engineering Experience
Highly desired, bachelor’s degree in one of the following:

Electrical Engineering
Telecommunications Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Wireless Communications Systems
Computer Engineering

Highly desired, Wireless Technology experience in one or more of the following:

Cellular Networks (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G)
LoRaWAN

NB-IoT

Wi-Fi (802.11 standards)
Bluetooth / BLE
