- Manage End-to-End Migration: Oversee the entire migration process for new enterprise clients, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and timely transition from legacy systems.
- Data Mapping and Integrity: Execute and validate complex data mappings, including Employee ID transitions (old ID to new ID), Paygroup configurations, and Payroll Calendar alignments between current and new providers.
- System Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly between legacy systems, current payroll platforms, and new time & attendance software to facilitate technical integrations and data migration.
- Timeline Oversight: Develop and manage customized migration project plans, establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure all milestones are met without service interruption.
- Credential and API Management: Guide clients through credential setups for payroll and time platforms, including the acquisition of sensitive integration data such as Vanity URLs, OAuthID/ClientIDs, and OAuth Secrets from third-party vendors.
- Stakeholder Training: Provide technical demonstrations and comprehensive training to client stakeholders to ensure successful platform adoption following the migration.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve potential technical roadblocks or data discrepancies during the migration lifecycle, escalating issues as necessary to maintain project velocity.
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor, offering best-practice recommendations for data structure and system configuration to maximize the client#39;s return on investment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical program management, project management, product delivery, or related roles in software, fintech, financial services, or other technology-driven environments.
- Proven track record of managing complex software development and integration projects from requirements through production launch, with accountability for scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum practices, release management, QA/UAT, production deployments, and common engineering delivery processes.
- Practical understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication/authorization concepts, API documentation, and system-to-system integrations; ability to work with engineers to understand integration flows and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Demonstrated experience working with geographically distributed and offshore software development teams, including managing time-zone differences, handoffs, communication, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable reviewing technical documentation, API specifications, logs or error details, data flows, and implementation plans with engineering teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive decisions across Product, Engineering, Operations, clients, and partners.
- Proficiency with delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence; familiarity with API tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications, data integrations, databases/SQL concepts, observability, or production support workflows is a plus.
- Ability to participate in technical discovery and integration meetings, ask informed questions, identify missing requirements, and drive issues to closure without requiring hands-on software development.
- Experience in fintech, payments, payroll, earned wage access, financial wellness, or other regulated technology environments is highly desirable.
- PMP, Scrum, SAFe, or other relevant program/project management certification is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require for client meetings, partner engagements, implementation activities, and collaboration with distributed/offshore teams.
