A Technical Sales Engineer identifies and secures clients for engineering repair/maintenance services, bridging technical needs with commercial solutions. Core tasks include client outreach, proposal preparation, and coordinating with technical teams to meet customer requirements.
Sales Engineer (Technical)
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8:15am – 5:30pm
Location: Company transport available from Lakeside / Choa Chu Kang / Joo Koon MRT
Salary: $3,200 – $4,000 + $600 to $700 Car Allowance + AWS
Commission: Applicable after 3 months’ probation
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking and outdoor client visits.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
- Promote and sell engineering repair and maintenance services to new and existing clients.
- Understand customers’ technical requirements and recommend suitable repair, maintenance and engineering solutions.
- Prepare and deliver service proposals, quotations and presentations to prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, negotiate commercial terms and follow up closely to secure new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate with the technical and operations teams to understand project requirements and ensure solutions meet customer needs.
- Support the planning and execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Prepare and present monthly sales reports and provide updates on business development activities.
- Develop and achieve assigned sales targets and business development goals.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and work with the Accounts team to support timely collection from clients.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Candidates with a technical / engineering background and sales or business development experience are preferred.
- Experience in engineering services, repair & maintenance, industrial equipment, machinery or related industries will be an advantage.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and own vehicle
