Technical Sales Representative
As a Technical Sales Representative, the role is responsible for proactively selling Weatherford products, technologies, and services within an assigned portfolio. The position partners closely with customers to understand operational needs, provide technically sound solutions, and drive revenue growth through strong account management, proposal development, and cross-selling opportunities.
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve annual revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Promote and sell assigned products, tools, and services by applying technical and operational knowledge to customer needs.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement at offices, workshops, warehouses, and field locations.
Prepare value propositions, technical presentations, bids, tenders, and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling across service lines and product segments.
Support customers during product application and service delivery to ensure performance, quality, and satisfaction expectations are met.
Monitor market activity, pricing trends, and competitor offerings, and communicate relevant intelligence to internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, account plans, and sales activity records in company sales systems.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and management teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
Participate in quarterly business reviews, budget discussions, and account strategy planning with leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Typically 4+ years of oil and gas, technical, field, or operational experience.
- Typically 6+ years of sales or business development experience, preferably in technical or energy services environments
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing customer accounts.
- Experience using CRM and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Strong understanding of product applications, service delivery, and commercial drivers within the energy sector.
- Cross-product line knowledge and exposure to intervention, drilling, well services, or related portfolios are advantageous.
