The Technical Support & Data Analyst acts as a bridge between clients and the JunoAMS platform, managing data analysis, client support, and technical reporting. The role involves using SQL, Excel, and AI tools to extract and interpret asset data while collaborating with developers and AI researchers.
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year
About the role
Lonrix builds JunoAMS, a cloud-based, AI-enabled asset management system used by NZTA, city and district councils, consultancies and contractors here and overseas. We are looking for a Technical Support & Data Analyst to be the bridge between our clients and our technology. If you are a data analyst who likes talking to people as much as querying databases, this is a good one.
Key responsibilities
Help JunoAMS users get unstuck, get set up, and get more out of the system
Work with clients to understand what they are really trying to achieve with their asset data
Turn those conversations into clear briefs our developers can build from
Extract, validate and analyse data using SQL, Excel, QGIS and APIs
Summarise what the data says, build the chart, and write the report that makes it obvious
Use generative AI every day for reporting, analysis and documentation and know when to check it
Work with our AI researchers on the data behind AI-driven asset assessments
About you
A data analysis background so you are comfortable with large datasets and can defend your conclusions
Strong Excel and SQL
Comfortable with descriptive statistics, and honest about what the numbers do and do not show
Able to turn analysis into a chart or table a client can read at a glance
A clear communicator who is comfortable dealing directly with clients
Curiosity, a pragmatic hands-on attitude and a good sense of humour
NZ citizenship or permanent residence, and a full NZ driver licence
A roading or civil engineering background is preferable. If you have one — State Highways, local roads, three waters, utilities — that is a real advantage. If you do not, the team around you knows that world well and will teach it to you.
