TECHNICIAN, HOSPITAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Conduct routine inspection as per standing work schedule.
- Perform trouble shooting & repair works.
- Operate & maintain M&E services as schedule.
- Attend to complaint & work request within the stipulated time frame.
- Update document & information into filing system.
- Record reading of utilities as required.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors working in building.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and local authorities.
- Assist the Maintenance Officer in regulating the M&E equipment to ensure proper system operation.
- Supervise contractor on the implementation of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for M&E Services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Complies with the relevant authorities standard and requirements
- Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, MSQH Hospital Accreditation standards are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
- Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP) of KPJ and participate in 5S activities.
Plan Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Testing and Commissioning, Corrective Maintenance (CM) & Calibration
- To perform corrective work as per finding within capabilities and request.
- To supervise and verify work conducted by vendor.
- To compile and submit completed job sheet/ service sheet in breakdown activity report form for corrective maintenance.
- To distribute service report to end user.
- To oversee installation and commissioning of the new medical equipment in the Hospital.
Stock/Parts/Accessories Keeping
- To update stock bin card and to notify Healthcare Engineer whenever stock reach near par level.
Others
- To attend technical training of the M&E equipment and other courses provided by the hospital’s management.
- Understand the Mission, Vision and goals of the organization, role of the services.
OSH Act & Regulations 1994
- Responsible and accountable to carry out duties as employee stipulated in OSH Act & Regulations 1994.

- Participates actively and encourages compliance to all policies and Procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 : 2015, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and PSG.
PDPA Act 2010
- To review and adopt internal personal data protection policies and practices to comply with the PDPA Act 2010.
Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced
- Ensure produce better result and Continual Improvement in deliver service to customers.
To perform any others duties as and when required by the management
- Produce outcome within the expectation of the shareholder and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- At least certificate in related engineering.
- Certificate in related field Electrical or M&E.
- Interpersonal skill & dedicated team player.
DECISION MAKING
- This position requires adequate knowledge in Diploma of Electrical to minimizing equipment downtime and to support hospital for smooth operation of M&E equipment.
LATITUDE
- Action constrained by policies and procedures of services and hospital level. Issues that affecting the services and hospital operation shall be reported to the Healthcare Engineer.
- Freedom in action constrained by policies and procedures of services and hospital level. Issues of ethical significance affecting the services shall be reported to Chief Executive Officer and management.
