Technician (Packaging )

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.
• Applies subject matter knowledge.
• Requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.
• Responsible for supporting production activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Activities include setting-up, calibrating and operating machines and equipment, following production schedules and quality standards, monitoring production processes, and troubleshooting production problems.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems from the product line/process to minimize reject levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Diploma
• Experience/Background Minimum 2 years
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to operate and repair machinery
• Materials Science: Learning about the properties of paper, plastics, metals, and glass to ensure packaging integrity
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Studying industry standards like OSHA, HACCP (for food), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices for pharmaceuticals and medical devices).
