Temporary Assembler

Position Summary: Working with blue prints, assembly drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal and written instructions, assembles, disassembles, repairs and adjusts a variety of units, attachments, components and/or accessories. Reports directly to Production Supervisor or his/her designate.

Production quality and efficiency using appropriate tools and equipment, qualified to perform special processes as needed

1. Working on assembly operations, sub assembly operations, attachments and/or accessories.
2. Size of positioning of work may require incumbents of this position to operate a variety of material handling equipment including jibs, overhead cranes, and their accessories.
3. Uses an assortment of measuring tools
4. Consistently meets customer’s quality requirements and expectations.

Follow instructions – oral and/or written

1. Can properly read all blueprint and work instructions
2. Will provide instruction and guidance to employees assigned to assist and as required, will participate in training of welders and other employees of the department of lesser classification.
3. Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, weld shop, or his/her designate.

Safety & housekeeping

1. Work may require use of scaffold, ladders, forklift, and/or scissor lift.
2. Work may require the use of a crane to move part.
3. Maintains a clean work area with no clutter.
4. Practices safety at all times while at work.
5. Follows safety policies and procedures and speaks up when others are non-compliant.
6. Wears all safety equipment for area of work.
