Temporary Junior Procurement Buyer (1 Year Contract)
Job Description:
- Source and evaluate new suppliers to support procurement and supply chain activities.
- Assist in vendor qualification and work closely with the Quality team to select suitable suppliers.
- Confirm parts specifications during sourcing and new product introduction.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations (RFQs) based on the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Assist in cost analysis and price comparisons to support cost-saving initiatives.
- Support price negotiations and supplier communications under the guidance of senior team members.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure data accuracy in the ERP/MRP system.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical), or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant working experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Oracle) is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided.
- Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Eager to learn, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
