Territory Manager Netherlands

As a Territory Manager (TM), you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes by partnering with ophthalmic surgeons and clinical teams across your territory. You will drive adoption of innovative technologies, helping practices integrate solutions that enhance both clinical outcomes and patient experience.

You’ll combine commercial expertise with clinical support—working alongside surgeons in theatre, supporting training, and ensuring confidence in product use. By building strong, trusted relationships and understanding each customer’s needs, you’ll deliver sustainable growth while contributing to broader team success across the Netherlands when needed.

What will you do?

Prospecting & Business Development
• Build and develop relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, clinicians, and key stakeholders across your territory
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts
• Organise and deliver surgical wet labs and educational sessions to support product adoption

Clinical Training & Support
• Provide hands-on support during initial procedures to ensure confidence and successful outcomes
• Deliver ongoing in-theatre support and follow-up training to reinforce best practices
• Share updates on new techniques and advancements to continuously improve surgical outcomes
• Educate wider clinical teams on the clinical and patient benefits of the technology

Market Access & Reimbursement
• Partner with clinical and administrative teams to support understanding of reimbursement pathways
• Collaborate with hospital stakeholders to navigate funding models (NHS, private pay, or insurance)
• Support tender processes and work with internal and external stakeholders to optimise access

Collaboration & Insights
• Attend regional and national meetings, conferences, and internal business updates
• Gather and share market insights, including competitor activity, pricing, and customer feedback
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the UK to support shared goals and best practices

How will you get there?

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of medical sales experience, including at least 3 years in surgical ophthalmology
• Experience in ophthalmic pharmaceutical sales (preferred)
• Combined experience across ophthalmic surgical and pharmaceutical environments (preferred)
• Proven success developing and expanding new territories
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to build, grow, and retain a customer base
• Experience using CRM or tracking systems (e.g., SugarCRM preferred)
• Ability to manage budgets and operate effectively within established processes and compliance guidelines
