Test Analyst

About the roleWe’re partnering with a large, complex enterprise environment to engage an experienced Test Analyst to deliver high-quality outcomes across a major platform initiative. This role blends strong functional testing capability with technical testing expertise across APIs, automation frameworks, integrations, and data migration.You’ll work closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders to plan and execute end-to-end test activities, contribute to continuous improvement in quality engineering practices, and support release confidence across multiple environments.
Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute and report on testing activities across complex ICT initiatives
• Deliver functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end and release testing
• Validate interfaces, integrations and business processes
• Perform API testing and support integration validation
• Support data migration testing, reconciliation and validation
• Build and maintain automated regression suites using contemporary tools and approaches
• Investigate defects and perform root cause analysis across application + database layers
• Work within modern delivery practices including CI/CD workflows

Mandatory requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent industry experience
• ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent)
• Recent experience across functional, system integration, regression, end-to-end testing in complex environments
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., ReadyAPI, Postman or equivalent)
• Strong technical testing skills including SQL-based validation and reconciliation
• Working knowledge of tools/practices such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent), Jira/Xray, Git, CI/CD-supported testing

Highly desirable

• Test automation / BDD experience with tools such as Karate, REST Assured, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber (or similar)
• Cloud solution testing + environment verification / release validation
• Relational and NoSQL data validation experience (e.g., PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or similar)
• Migration rehearsals, cutover support, smoke testing and post-deployment validation
• Scripting with Python, JavaScript (or similar)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and modern quality engineering approaches

Location - Brisbane CBD
Hybrid – minimum 50% onsite (CBD or Carseldine as required).
Work Type - Contract (40 hrs/week)
Asap to 25 Jun 2027 (subject to project requirements)
