Job Description:


JSL Technologies is seeking Test and Evaluation (T&E) Lifecycle Support Engineers to support planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for Navy combat and weapon system test events conducted onboard ships and at shore sites. The position supports T&E activities across platforms that may include BMD, AEGIS, non-AEGIS, LCS, SSDS, DDG 1000 class destroyers, Constellation Class Frigates, Multi-Mission Surface Combatants (MMSC), Coast Guard vessels, unmanned vessels, and other platforms.

· Support Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQTs), developmental T&E, SSDS land-based testing, operational tests, flight tests, engineering testing, System Integration and Tests (SITs), follow-on T&E, post-delivery test and trials, interoperability events, Combat System Assessment Team events, and Fleet exercises.

· Support the development of T&E strategies and participate in program reviews and in-process reviews.

· Participate in and provide technical input to WIPTs and working groups, including TEMP/T&E Strategy Working Groups, Requirements Working Groups, Test Objective Working Groups, Scenario Working Groups, Test Plan Working Groups, and Scenario Certification Panels.

· Gather and evaluate test-event requirements, develop test objectives aligned with program goals, and support the review and approval process for test objectives.

· Investigate and formulate test designs, develop test scenarios, prepare scenario packages, integrate modeling and simulation results into test planning, and coordinate scenario finalization and certification.

· Prepare and present briefings, track actions and milestones, establish program metrics, and coordinate with test-team stakeholders.

· Participate in Mission Control Panels, Range Readiness Reviews, Mission Readiness Reviews, and other milestone reviews to support test-event readiness.

· Provide readiness status descriptions and event-status updates through Situation Reports (SITREPs) and informal updates.

· Coordinate communication among ship's force, test-event participants, and the test lead regarding accomplishments, schedule issues, technical matters, and event readiness.

· Identify, analyze, document, and support resolution of combat system issues, design problems, high-failure-rate items, performance deficiencies, anomalies, part shortages, operator difficulties, training deficiencies, environmental and safety issues, and equipment casualties.

· When Fleet or site-supplied watchstanders are unavailable, operate and maintain the Combat/Weapon System during test preparation and execution, including support to SSDS testing at Wallops Island, aboard the Self Defense Test Ship, and MMSC post-delivery testing and trials as assigned.

· Support post-event meetings by briefing and discussing event outcomes, performance problems, lessons learned, and program recommendations.

· Collect and analyze data and metrics, including KPPs, MOEs, MOPs, COIs, and MOSs.

· Analyze Test Observation Reports (TORs), lessons learned, and emergent issues; participate in Data Analysis Working Groups (DAWGs); support root-cause analysis; and produce Quick Look reports.

· Manage and document potential and confirmed software, hardware, and logistics issues using the designated TOR database.
