Test Automation Engineer (Financial Crime Prevention)
Summary
Consultancy emagine is hiring a Test Automation Engineer for a banking client's Financial Crime Prevention team in Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 remote). The role builds automated tests in Python/Java, tests data pipelines and rule-based detection engines on GCP, and applies AI-assisted testing integrated into CI/CD.

About the assignment:
You will join the Financial Crime Prevention team to ensure quality and reliability of cloud-native platforms and detection capabilities. This hands-on role combines test automation, data testing expertise, and modern AI-assisted testing approaches in a GCP environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and/or Java with appropriate frameworks
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic testing approaches to improve test design, generation, execution, and analysis
• Test data pipelines, ETL processes, data quality, and data transformations across GCP
• Validate rule-based detection engines and complex business logic used in Financial Crime Prevention
• Test APIs, integrations, and real-time data flows across distributed systems
• Define and continuously improve test strategy, regression coverage, and end-to-end testing
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Identify quality risks early and promote good testing practices across the team
Profile & Qualifications:
• 8–10+ years of experience in test automation, technical testing, or quality engineering
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation solutions and frameworks
• Practical experience with AI-assisted or agentic testing within the software testing lifecycle
• Strong experience in data, ETL, and data quality testing
• Experience testing rule-based systems, decision engines, or complex business logic
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with proactive, delivery-focused mindset
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., or equivalent relevant education and professional experience
