Test Automation Specialist (Test Complete)

Summary

Build and maintain automated test scripts in TestComplete using JavaScript, improving test coverage and collaborating with the QA team.

We are seeking a hands-on Test Automation Specialist to support our QA Lead with building and maintaining automated test scripts using TestComplete. This is a short-term contract role suited to someone who can start immediately and contribute quickly.

• Start: Immediate
• Duration: 4 months
• Location: Fawkner (3 days per week in the office)
• Work Type: Contract
• Requirements: Full Australian working rights

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using TestComplete
• Write test scripts in JavaScript within the TestComplete framework
• Work closely with the QA Lead to understand test scenarios and priorities
• Support the execution of automated test cases and assist with troubleshooting issues
• Help improve the quality and coverage of automation within the available timeframe
• Document scripts and provide clear handover notes

Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, supported by solid foundational coding knowledge
• Knowledge of XPath and CSS selectors for identifying and interacting with user interface elements
• Proven experience using the TestComplete automation tool
• Solid understanding of software testing practices
• Ability to quickly understand existing test frameworks and contribute with minimal ramp-up

Desirable:
• Experience with Postman and SoapUI, including use of Groovy scripting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
