Theatre Nurse [WCAN]

Provide perioperative nursing support to surgeons and the multidisciplinary operating theatre team during operative procedures.

Perform Scrub Nurse and Anaesthetic Unit Nurse responsibilities according to applicable clinical protocols, procedures and professional standards.

Ensure accurate, complete and timely documentation relating to operative and perioperative nursing care.

Coordinate with relevant clinical and support units to facilitate safe and efficient patient transport and transfer.

Escort and orientate patients during transfers and provide appropriate support to promote safety, comfort and continuity of care.

Provide post-operative recovery care and monitor patients for changes in condition, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Participate in the review and continuous improvement of nursing protocols, policies, procedures and service practices.

Perform other relevant nursing duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
