Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse [WCAN]

Provide perioperative nursing support to ophthalmic surgeons and the operating theatre team during eye-related surgical procedures.

Perform Scrub Nurse responsibilities in accordance with applicable clinical protocols, procedures and professional standards.

Ensure accurate, complete and timely documentation of perioperative nursing activities and patient care.

Coordinate with relevant clinical and support units to facilitate safe and seamless patient transport and transfer.

Escort, receive and orientate patients during transfers while providing appropriate support for their safety, comfort and continuity of care.

Provide post-operative recovery care and monitor patients in accordance with established nursing protocols, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals where required.

Participate in the review and continuous improvement of nursing protocols, policies and procedures.

Perform other relevant nursing responsibilities as assigned by management.
