Description
- Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support fabrication, welding, assembly, and machining operations.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to identify tooling needs and develop practical solutions.
- Review and improve existing tooling designs for performance, durability, and ease of use.
- Specify materials, components, and processes for tooling fabrication.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal fabrication teams to ensure timely and cost-effective tooling builds.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing tooling layouts and ergonomics.
