Tosca Automation Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Tosca Automation Consultant to design, build, and lead test automation for SAP S/4HANA and related applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, SAP Fiori / web-based SAP applications, reusable automation design, Tosca LiveCompare, DEX Server execution, qTest integration, reporting, and Playwright with AI-assisted automation. The candidate will help improve automation coverage, execution reliability, visibility, and release readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define the automation strategy, framework design, standards, and roadmap for SAP S/4HANA and related applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain reusable Tosca automation for functional, end-to-end, integration, and regression testing.
• Use Tosca LiveCompare to assess SAP changes, identify impacted test cases, and support risk-based regression selection.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot distributed test execution using Tosca DEX Server, including execution planning, agents, scheduling, and results monitoring.
• Integrate Tosca with qTest and other relevant tools for test management, execution tracking, defect management, CI/CD, and reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for automation coverage, execution status, pass/fail trends, defects, failures, risks, and release readiness.
• Create reusable Tosca modules, components, test data approaches, and templates to support repeatable testing across stores, locations, and configuration variations.
• Assess SAP Fiori and web-based SAP application behavior and select appropriate Tosca automation approaches.
• Lead automation planning for regression cycles, releases, and deployment waves; coordinate with SAP functional, QE, and business teams.
• Review automation assets, troubleshoot failures, improve stability, and establish standards for maintainability, reuse, and execution efficiency.
• Evaluate Playwright-based automation and help define where Tosca and Playwright are best suited, including integration into the broader QE approach.
• Apply AI-assisted testing capabilities with Playwright, including AI-supported test design and generation, script creation, failure analysis, locator recovery or self-healing where appropriate, and agentic workflows.
• Evaluate opportunities to connect AI-driven workflows with MCP, LLM-based tools, or other approved AI capabilities while maintaining human review, security, and traceability.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Quality Engineering / test automation, including substantial hands-on Tosca experience.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale automation using Tricentis Tosca.
• Practical experience with Tosca LiveCompare for change-impact analysis and regression test selection.
• Experience configuring and supporting Tosca DEX Server and distributed execution.
• Experience integrating Tosca with qTest and other test management, defect tracking, CI/CD, or reporting tools.
• Experience developing automation dashboards and reports and interpreting execution and quality metrics.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA testing and SAP Fiori or other web-based SAP applications.
• Strong knowledge of test strategy, automation architecture, reusable design, regression testing, test data, defect management, and release readiness.
• Experience with Playwright and an understanding of how to design and maintain web automation.
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted automation with Playwright or other AI-enabled testing workflows.
• Ability to lead a team, communicate with technical and functional stakeholders, and explain automation decisions clearly.

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP GUI automation in addition to SAP Fiori / web applications.
• Experience with CI/CD integration, source control, APIs, and test environment management.
• Exposure to MCP, LLMs, AI agents, prompt design, or AI-based test generation and failure analysis.
• Experience with UiPath or other automation platforms and the ability to compare options objectively.
• Experience supporting multi-store or multi-location configuration testing and deployment waves.
• Experience defining automation KPIs, governance, standards, and continuous improvement plans.
