Trading Analyst
Summary
Analyzes and reconciles LPG trading transactions, monitors trading performance, and assists traders with trade execution and reporting in a Singapore-based energy trading firm.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile physical and paper LPG trading transactions and ledgers, and coordinate trade confirmations and reconciliations with the Risk Management Team.
- Monitor the performance of the LPG trading book, including regular P&L analysis and business flow tracking.
- Execute physical and paper trade transactions under the guidance of traders, and assist in entering trade transactions into the trading system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in tracking arbitrage shipments, market prices, freight costs, and other relevant market information to provide meaningful insights to traders.
- Prepare trading reports and other related reports on a regular basis in an accurate and timely manner.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management, Economics, Finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to collect, collate and evaluate large amounts of data.
- Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
- Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
