Trainee Associate : Corporate and IP laws

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including lease/rental agreements, employment contracts, leave and license agreements, service agreements, revenue-sharing arrangements, NDAs, LOIs, and licensing documents.
  2. Conduct research on corporate, commercial, employment, and compliance topics and prepare clear, actionable research notes.
  3. Support trademark matters including searches, TM-A/TM-M filings, replies to examination reports, opposition support, and prosecution tracking.
  4. Assist in due diligence exercises — reviewing documents, extracting key terms, building comparison sheets, and preparing data summaries, particularly for mall and high-street retail agreements.
  5. Support POSH compliance work comprehensively: policy drafting and review, Internal Committee documentation, compliance checklists, training materials, and advisory support.
  6. Assist with GCC and entity setup matters including compliance notes, regulatory summaries, and documentation relating to labour laws and data protection.
  7. Contribute to template development, process notes, and institutional knowledge within the practice.
  8. Support thought leadership initiatives including legal content for LinkedIn, client notes, and awareness content on employment law and POSH compliance.
  9. Use Zoho tools for task management, internal communication, and workflow tracking.



Requirements


  1. LL.B. from a recognized institution; LL.M. or relevant certification is a plus.
  2. 0–3 years of experience in a corporate/commercial practice or law firm environment.
  3. Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
  4. Familiarity with employment law, POSH compliance, and trademark prosecution is an advantage.
  5. Organised, self-driven, and able to manage multiple deliverables under supervision.
  6. Proficient in MS Word; working knowledge of Zoho tools preferred.
