Duration: 6–12 Months Internship (Minimum 6 months to be eligible for LOR)

About the Role:

As a Trainee – Career Consultant at Mumbai, you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students toward the right career path in digital business and marketing. This role focuses on student counselling, admissions support, and learner engagement, helping aspiring students make informed decisions about their future.

The role involves one-on-one counselling, admissions follow-ups, and consultative guidance, while developing strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills in a fast-paced ed-tech environment. You will collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to support learner conversions and uphold a high-quality student experience.

What You’ll Do:

● Student Counselling & Career Guidance:

○ Be the first point of contact for prospective students and guide them through career decisions.
○ Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to understand student goals, interests, and aspirations.
○ Recommend the most suitable IIDE programs in a clear, confident, and relatable manner.

● Admissions & Conversions:

○ Convert student inquiries into successful enrollments through structured follow-ups.
○ Build trust with students and parents through a consultative, learner-first approach.
○ Maintain accurate records and updates on leads using CRM tools.

● Team Collaboration & Growth:

○ Work closely with admissions and marketing teams to achieve monthly enrollment targets.
○ Participate in training sessions to strengthen communication, counselling, and sales skills.

● Additional Duties:

○ Support ongoing initiatives to enhance the student enrollment experience.
○ Contribute to process improvements and learner engagement efforts where required.
○ Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.

Who You Are:

● Must-Have:

○ Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
○ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence in speaking to students and parents.
○ Interest in career counselling, admissions, sales, or student engagement.
○ Ability to build rapport and understand learner needs effectively.
○ Willingness to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment.

● Should Have:

○ Prior internship or exposure to sales, counselling, customer service, or student-facing roles.
○ Familiarity with CRM tools or lead management processes.
○ Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.

● Nice to Have:

○ Prior experience in EdTech, education counselling, or admissions support.
○ Interest in digital marketing, business, or emerging career domains.
○ Certifications, workshops, or training in sales, communication, or counselling.
