TRANSPORT COORDINATOR
Summary
Coordinates daily transport operations using Micro-Transport Software, schedules shipments, and ensures timely delivery and documentation for logistics at DP World in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and create missions in Micro-Transport Software (MT) based on daily operational schedules.
- Provide daily reports generated from MT software as per the customer’s request.
- Coordinate shipment arrangements with the dispatch team to ensure shipments are scheduled for pick up, loading, and departure to destination on time.
- Ensure customers queries are handled as per the process.
- Proactively interact with internal and external customers and suppliers to provide complete transportation solutions.
- Liaises with transport operations and warehouse operations to provide regular updates for shipments and for timely receipt of PODs.
- Measure and control warehouse, transport, and documentation activities to ensure that timelines and service levels are met.
- Prepare necessary inbound & outbound status reports, billing and any other reports as required.
- Ensure information is available for billing within monthly timelines.
- Any other duty assigned by the Line Manager from time to time to meet the business requirement.
