Description

Position Title: Treasury Management Consultant

Department: Louisville Market

Reports To: Louisville Market President

General Summary/Purpose

The Treasury Management Consultant is responsible for growing the bank's treasury management portfolio across the Louisville market by prospecting, selling, and implementing cash management solutions for middle-market and commercial clients. This is a hybrid role that combines consultative business development — engaging directly with CFOs, controllers, treasurers, and business owners — with the operational expertise to onboard, support, and retain treasury clients. The Treasury Management Consultant will be competent in consultative selling and active listening, self-motivated and disciplined in pipeline management, and be able to collaborate across lending, operations and the technology teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

#1 Sales & Business Development Percentage of time: 60_%

  • Prospect and develop new treasury management relationships through outbound calling, referrals from commercial lenders, networking events, industry associations, and community involvement in the Louisville market.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with CFOs, controllers, treasurers, owners, and other senior financial leaders to understand their cash flow, liquidity, fraud-prevention, and payables/receivables challenges.
  • Present and recommend treasury solutions, including ACH origination, wire transfer services, remote deposit capture, positive pay and fraud mitigation tools, merchant services, sweep and zero-balance accounts, lockbox, business online banking, and liquidity management solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing analyses, and ROI/business-case presentations; negotiate pricing within established guidelines.
  • Partner with commercial lenders and branch leadership to identify cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records in the bank's CRM, forecast sales activity, and meet or exceed established production goals for new relationships, revenue, and product penetration.
  • Represent the bank at community and industry events to build brand presence and referral networks.

#2 Operations & Client Implementation Percentage of time: 40_%

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, working closely with the Treasury Operations team, for new treasury clients, including account setup, service agreements, entitlement configuration, user training, and first-payment monitoring.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for treasury clients on service questions, product enhancements, file formatting, and issue resolution; coordinate with operations, deposit operations, and technology teams as needed.
  • Conduct annual relationship reviews with existing treasury clients to assess satisfaction, identify additional product opportunities, and support retention.
  • Stay current on treasury products, payment systems (ACH, RTP, wire, card), fraud trends, and regulatory requirements; ensure all activity complies with bank policies and NACHA/regulatory guidelines.
