Truss Designer
A market-leading company in the construction industry is seeking an experienced Truss Designer to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with solid truss design experience who understands the demands of the building components industry and is comfortable working with MiTek software or using another industry standard software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize trusses for a variety of construction projects.
- Develop accurate, code-compliant designs based on architectural and structural plans.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Utilize MiTek software to create accurate and efficient truss designs.
- Review, revise, and troubleshoot designs to improve structural integrity, constructability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency while helping projects stay on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous experience designing trusses.
- Experience with MiTek software preferred.
- Strong understanding of truss design principles, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Multifamily experience is a plus, but not required.
