U.S Seed Treatment Sales Leader
The Business Leader, Seed Treatment will provide daily leadership for the sales team while developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive profitable growth for Corteva Agriscience’s seed treatment business. This role will be accountable for building strong customer relationships, leading execution across the sales organization, managing large contract customers, and ensuring the business delivers sustainable financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support the seed treatment sales team in daily commercial execution, customer engagement, and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, account plans, and tactical priorities that align with Corteva Agriscience’s broader business goals.
- Own commercial leadership for large contract customers, including relationship management, negotiation support, performance tracking, and long-term account development.
- Drive profitable growth by balancing revenue, margin, pricing discipline, customer commitments, and operating expenses.
- Partner with marketing, product management, supply, finance, operations, and technical teams to ensure alignment across demand planning, customer needs, and business execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer feedback, and business performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Establish clear sales priorities, performance expectations, and accountability measures for the team.
- Support forecasting, pipeline management, annual planning, and business reviews to improve decision-making and execution discipline.
- Represent the seed treatment business with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and consistent communication.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, ethics, safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, marketing, agronomy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in the preferred areas of, seed, crop protection, seed treatment, sales leadership, or related commercial roles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sales teams, coach talent, and build a high-performance culture.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, contracts, profitability analysis, forecasting, and account strategy.
- Proven success managing strategic customer relationships and complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to translate market insights and business objectives into practical sales strategies and execution plans.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort working in a matrixed organization and influencing teams without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of grower, retailer, channel, and agronomic needs within the agricultural marketplace.
