Summary
QA analyst designs test cases, runs manual tests on web apps, logs defects, and coordinates UAT with business users and developers.
TestPlanning
- Review business and functional requirements to identify test scenarios.
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs and design discussions.
- Assist in preparing test strategy, test plans, and test schedules.
- Estimate testing effort and support release planning.
TestDesign
- Create detailed test cases and test scripts covering:
Functional testing
Integration testing
Regression testing
End-to-end testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
- Ensure complete traceability between requirements and test cases.
TestExecution
- Execute manual testing across web applications and integrated systems.
- Validate business workflows and user journeys.
- Verify system integrations and interfaces.
- Perform regression testing for new releases.
- Validate production fixes where required.
DefectManagement
- Log, track, and manage defects using agreed tools.
- Work with developers and vendors to investigate issues.
- Perform defect retesting and closure verification.
- Provide daily defect status updates.
TestCoordination
- Coordinate testing activities with:
Business users
Product Owners
Developers
External vendors
Group Technology
- Support UAT planning and execution.
- Prepare test completion reports and quality metrics.
Documentation
- Maintain testing documentation and evidence.
- Produce daily and weekly testing status reports.
- Ensure testing artefacts comply with project governance.
