Summary:

The UI/UX Workstream Lead is responsible for leading the HCM Platform programme's UI/UX workstream, ensuring the delivered solution provides a coherent, accessible, user-friendly, and trusted experience for all key user groups, including employees, managers, candidates, recruiters, HR Services, and HR teams. The role acts as the programme's independent authority on user experience and accessibility, providing governance and oversight across all workstreams to prevent fragmented user journeys, inconsistent experiences, or unrealistic stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of the UI/UX workstream and achieve agreed objectives and outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain experience governance across the HCM Platform implementation.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational accessibility requirements, including audit readiness and evidence collection.

  • Oversee user experience quality across end-to-end HR processes and journeys.

  • Align stakeholders on what HCM Platform will and will not deliver, managing expectations proactively.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate user experience and accessibility risks.

  • Ensure consistency of employee and manager experiences across the platform.

  • Collaborate with business, HR, technology, change, and implementation teams to embed UX principles into programme decisions.

  • Coordinate and leverage specialist support from external UX/Accessibility SMEs and accessibility initiatives.

  • Support future digital workplace ambitions by ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with long-term employee experience objectives.

Must Haves:

  • Senior programme or transformation leader experience.

  • Strong experience leading UX, EX (Employee Experience), or digital experience initiatives.

  • Proven track record in large-scale HR, HCM, ERP, or digital transformation programmes.

  • Strong stakeholder management and governance capabilities.

  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to challenge design decisions balancing business, technology, regulatory, and user needs.

  • Experienced in driving adoption, reducing complexity, and improving end-user productivity through user-centred design.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with design thinking frameworks.

  • Previous work in a cross-functional team setup.

  • Knowledge of the latest trends in UX/UI design.
