Unit Secretary
- Greets patients and visitors, answers general inquiries, and schedules patients for appointments. Answers, screens, and routes telephone.
- Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Creates various reports and documents.
- Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient
- Performs unit safety assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.
- May enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff
- May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean an
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Preferred Credential(s):
- BLS Provider
Education:
- High school diploma or GED or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience required.
- Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
- Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive.
- Excellent customer service skills
