Senior HCI Upgrade & Migration Engineer

We are looking for a Senior HCI Upgrade & Migration Engineer to lead enterprise infrastructure upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, and lifecycle management with minimal business disruption.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• HCI Platforms: Nutanix AHV, VMware vSAN, Azure Stack HCI
• Additional Platforms: Dell VxRail, HPE SimpliVity, Cisco HyperFlex
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V
• Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, SAN/NAS
• Migration: HCI cluster upgrades, VM and storage migrations, firmware/BIOS upgrades, data center migrations, hardware refreshes, and disaster recovery validation
• Security: CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, vulnerability remediation, RBAC, patch management, backup, and DR controls

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HCI upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernization.
• Perform cluster upgrades, hardware refreshes, firmware updates, and capacity expansion.
• Develop migration plans, runbooks, testing procedures, and rollback strategies.
• Conduct infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, risk assessments, and impact analysis.
• Coordinate with application, network, storage, security, and business teams.
• Provide L3 support during migration and post-migration stabilization.
• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, availability, and change management governance.
• Maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

Required Experience

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and data center operations.
• 5+ years of hands-on HCI upgrades and migration experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments and customer-facing migration programs.
