Description

About The Company

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking design leaders who can connect employee needs, business priorities, and technology to create useful, accessible digital experiences. The Employee Experience Design team is a dedicated group of UX designers and researchers that partners with employee-facing product teams. Its work supports a broad ecosystem of services and platforms, including third-party software-as-a-service solutions and JPMC-specific products. The team is focused on improving how employees find help and support, with the potential to shape experiences used by more than 300,000 employees worldwide.

About The Role

As Vice President of Experience Design, you will lead strategically important design initiatives across the Employee Experience Design team. You will guide end-to-end experience improvements, from discovery and problem definition through concept development, delivery, and launch. This includes developing creative briefs, mapping employee journeys, creating service blueprints, exploring concepts with wireframes and prototypes, and partnering with product and technology teams to bring solutions to life.

You will serve as a subject matter expert in experience strategy, research, and inclusive design. You will help teams clarify objectives, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions grounded in employee insights and business requirements. You will also coach and mentor junior designers, raise the quality of design work, and encourage collaboration, accessibility, and inclusion throughout the product development process.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include at least five years of experience in user experience design or a related field, or equivalent expertise. You should be able to translate complex needs into clear visual representations, including user journeys, storyboards, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Demonstrated experience applying inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines is essential, as is the ability to consider diverse perspectives and abilities in design decisions.

You will bring the ability to define ambitious experience outcomes, develop innovation strategies, and create “north star” representations that support customer-centric decision-making. Advanced technical literacy is required, including an understanding of client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and technology stack components, and how they influence the user experience. Preferred qualifications include design leadership or management experience, familiarity with service design methods such as journey mapping and service blueprinting, and experience conducting usability testing and heuristic analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute design and research strategies for complex initiatives, maintaining alignment between employee needs and business objectives across multiple product areas. Lead end-to-end design work within your domain, including service-flow diagrams, product-feature models, wireframes, prototypes, and design recommendations. Clarify problem statements, define objectives, and help cross-functional partners understand the employee experience opportunity.

Collaborate with product, research, engineering, and other stakeholders to integrate experience design into product development and deliver coherent, employee-centered solutions. Use research findings, feedback, market trends, and available data to evaluate concepts and improve experiences across platforms and channels. Promote inclusive design and accessibility practices, provide constructive guidance to junior designers, and foster a culture of collaboration, diversity, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

This senior role offers the opportunity to influence employee-facing experiences at significant scale and contribute to meaningful improvements in how people access workplace support. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, apply research and design methods to complex challenges, and help shape an inclusive design culture. Compensation, benefits, and eligibility details are provided in accordance with applicable company policies and the terms of employment.

Equal Opportunity

Testing Site - JPMC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace. Employment decisions are made in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. We welcome applicants with varied backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities, and encourage candidates who meet the role requirements to apply.
