Discussion

As part of the team, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Design and prototype customer-support experiences across web, chat, conversational, and AI-assisted interfaces.
  • Explore how Generative AI and conversational assistants can make complex support interactions simpler and more intuitive.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Apply and contribute to established design systems, reusable components, patterns, and interaction standards.
  • Prototype concepts quickly so the team can evaluate ideas before investing in full development.
  • Help explore emerging AI-assisted design and prototyping workflows, including tools that help move concepts from design toward functioning experiences.
  • Partner with researchers to understand user needs via customer interviews and survey analysis.
  • Partner with engineers to understand how designs translate into front-end implementation.
  • Participate in design critiques, usability testing, customer feedback sessions, and iterative design.
  • Help the team think through important AI experience questions such as user intent, confidence, transparency, error recovery, and transitions between AI and human support.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Like asking "Can I prototype this?" rather than stopping at a static mockup.
  • Care about both how an experience feels and how it gets built.
  • Enjoy working within a design system but know when a new interaction requires thoughtful exploration.
  • Are comfortable experimenting with emerging technology while remaining grounded in real customer needs.
  • Think critically about AI rather than adding AI simply because it's available.
  • Can move between user journeys, interaction details, visual design, prototypes, and conversations with engineers.
  • Are curious, collaborative, comfortable receiving feedback, and eager to learn.

Tools & Technologies You May Encounter

  • Figma / FigJam
  • Design systems and component libraries
  • HTML / CSS / JavaScript
  • Generative AI and LLM-based experiences
  • AI-assisted design and prototyping tools
  • Conversational and chat interfaces
  • Modern web application frameworks and prototyping approaches

What You’ll Gain

This internship offers hands-on experience working on real customer-facing problems at the intersection of enterprise UX and emerging AI technology. You’ll develop experience designing within a mature product environment, collaborating across disciplines, working with design systems, and exploring new ways designers can use AI and prototyping technology to turn ideas into testable experiences.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in user-centered design and interaction-design principles.
  • Experience designing interfaces and prototypes using Figma.
  • Familiarity with design systems, including components, variants, patterns, and reusable UI structures.
  • A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, interaction design, prototyping, and visual craft.
  • Curiosity about Generative AI and how AI changes the way people interact with digital products.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across design, product, and engineering teams.
  • Based in, studying in, or able to work from Mexico City.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable understanding how interfaces get built.
  • Experience creating functional or coded prototypes.
  • Experience experimenting with AI-assisted design or development tools.
  • Familiarity with conversational UX, chatbots, digital assistants, or customer-support experiences.
  • Experience conducting or participating in usability research and incorporating feedback into designs.
  • Interest in accessibility and inclusive design.
