UX Researcher

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

• Proven experience as a UX Researcher
• A mix of creative and technical skills
• Excellent team working skills
• Strong verbal communication skills to present research findings and design decisions
• Strong written communication ability, including writing website copy
• Creativity and innovation to develop new ideas
• Enthusiasm for design and technology
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Experience using prototyping software tools such as FlowMapp, Axure Pro and VisuaSiteMaps
• Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop

• Deliver the best possible experience for our website users and make our website straightforward to use
• Research user behaviour and preferences
• Review website content and consider design elements such as colours and images
• Meet clients to gather information about their requirements and identify what needs researching, designing or usability testing
• Be involved in sketching, prototyping and, on occasion, user testing before handing the design over to our development team
• Understand qualitative research methods
• Be aware of costs and budgets
• Put users at the centre of our design process to make it simple, easy to use and visually appealing
• Present design development stages to business users
• Work closely within our multidisciplinary team, including web developers and programmers
• Use technical knowledge to explain requirements to programmers
• Ensure our websites comply with the law
