UX Writer - 4 Month Contract
You will shape product language from the earliest feature concepts through implementation. You will write end-to-end in-product copy, establish naming and terminology, develop voice guidance for human- and AI-generated content, and work closely with prototypes and production builds.
Responsibilities
- Write end-to-end user flows and in-product copy, including interface text, onboarding, system messages, empty states, errors, and edge cases
- Design features with designers and product partners from the concept stage
- Own product naming, terminology, and messaging
- Develop voice and tonal guidance for features and generated content
- Ship copy into prototypes and the production build
Requirements
- 4+ years of UX writing or content design experience in product
- Strong portfolio of in-product copy across mobile, desktop, and web platforms
- Information architecture
- Experience with UX writing systems and industry standards
- Fluency with AI and conversational experiences, including dialogue, prompts, generated copy, chatbots, and AI-driven interfaces
- Experience with Figma, prototypes, functional specifications, and production builds
- Ability to present and defend writing choices with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders
- Clarity in technical or complex products
