Van Driver - Part Time

Position Summary
The Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of youth members to and from Union League Boys and Girls Clubs sites and program activities. This position ensures that youth are transported in a manner that is safe, respectful, and aligned with the organization’s mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Key Roles and Competency Areas
- Safely transport youth members to and from designated locations.
- Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
- Ensure all passengers follow safety rules, including seat belt use.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and youth.
- Assist staff in supervising youth during transport.
- Promote a positive and respectful environment consistent with the Club’s values.
Relationships
- Internal: Works closely with Club Directors, program staff, and members.
- External: Interacts with parents/guardians and community partners as needed.
