The Verification & Validation Evidence Manager leads the planning, coordination and management of all Verification and Validation (V&V) evidence across the MIP SESA Right Side of the V Organization. The role ensures objective evidence demonstrating compliance with the Project Agreement is complete, accurate, traceable and readily available to support Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD), Construction Completion, Operational Readiness and City Acceptance. The role shall maintain regular liaison with the SESA & Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD) Lead / Validation Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the V&V Evidence Plan.
• Coordinate collection of verification and validation evidence.
• Monitor evidence of completeness and quality.
• Report progress and outstanding actions.
• Maintain the V&V evidence register.
• Verify traceability to Project Agreement requirements.
• Coordinate evidence reviews and approvals.
• Support audits and assurance reviews.
• Verify compliance with approved V&V processes.
• Support Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD).
• Coordinate evidence for Construction Completion and City Acceptance.
• Maintain controlled records.
• Coordinate V&V activities with Engineering, Construction, Testing and Operational Readiness teams.
• Maintain regular liaison with the SESA & Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD) Lead / Validation Manager.
• Support executive reporting.
• Assist governance reviews.
• Improve V&V evidence management processes.
• Capture lessons learned.
• Promote consistent working practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in Verification, Validation or Systems Assurance on major infrastructure delivery or railway projects. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience with managing compliance evidence and requirements traceability with knowledge of EN 50126 lifecycle principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred
• Ability to Navigate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
