Vice President, Business Development
Our Client:
Templewater is a leading Asia-based private equity investor and alternative asset manager. Founded in 2018 in partnership with Investec, we operate at the intersection of capital deployment, active ownership, and high-impact growth. Our firm specializes in two core pan-Asia investment strategies: Mid-Market Buyouts and Energy Transition & Decarbonization growth equity, alongside a dedicated Australian real estate portfolio. With offices across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Muscat, Templewater acts as a crucial "superconnector" linking global institutional capital, family offices, and emerging market opportunities across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, and deeply connected Vice President of Business Development. In this pivotal role, you will lead the firm's capital-raising initiatives, institutional investor coverage, and strategic deal-sourcing ecosystems. You will work closely with our executive leadership team—including Senior Partners and Managing Directors—to map capital markets, identify key decision-makers, and drive actionable pipeline growth across our core funds.

- Investor Qualification: Perform intensive market research to discover, qualify, and segment high-probability prospective investors.
- Investor Relations Support: Collaborate with deal teams to create institutional-grade marketing assets, pitch decks, private placement memorandums (PPMs), and due diligence questionnaire (DDQ) materials.
Strategic Deal Sourcing & Ecosystem Building
- Origination Ecosystem: Map high-growth sectors aligned with Templewater's mandates, particularly in mid-market healthcare/B2B and global decarbonization/clean energy infrastructure.
- Corporate Advisory Networks: Cultivate robust pipelines with investment banks, boutique advisors, brokers, and founders to secure proprietary, off-market mid-market buyout deal flow.
- Geographic Expansion: Actively position Templewater as a cross-border "superconnector" to expand our footprint in newly targeted geographies (e.g., Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East).
