Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

The Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications within an Agile environment at BNY. This leadership role involves collaborating on technical requirements, coordinating engineering tasks, and ensuring high-quality code delivery across the software development life cycle.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our ENGINEERING PRACTICE LEADERSHIP team. This role is located in New York.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications across front-end and back-end layers in iterative Agile sprints
  • Provide technical support and solutions in complex, high-impact scenarios across multiple business domains
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions and contribute to the preparation of BRD/SRD documentation
  • Apply thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver well-structured, maintainable code
  • Conduct and participate in reviews of Test Plans and Test Data to validate quality and completeness
  • Collaborate within Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • May allocate and coordinate engineering tasks across team members to support sprint goals

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Proven full-stack development experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Strong command of SDLC practices within Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban)
  • Experience contributing to BRD/SRD documentation and technical requirements definition
  • Ability to work independently on complex problems while collaborating across cross-functional teams
